Communications Room Audit & Assessment

Our engineers have the Certified Data Centre Design Professional (CDCDP) qualification, and can review the build and infrastructure of your Communications Room. Working with you they can assess whether it is fit for purpose and what the necessary steps would be to bring it up to the required specification. We can also make sure that it is a neat and ordered place to work in, by bringing its documentation up-to-date and making sure the patch cabling is tidy.

Essential to the success of a business today and in the future is their IT systems and Data networks. Critical to the availability and reliability of IT infrastructure is the environment it operates in.

Data centres and IT environments need to be designed to support 24 x 7 x 365 operation of IT systems and to a Tier category consistent with the criticality of the business it supports.

The Tier rating system defines an availability rating for the Data centre and hence the IT systems it supports.

Whether it is the design of a new Data centre or upgrade of an existing IT environment our CCIE accredited engineers have the knowledge and experience to develop design options that meet a customers business requirements and provide a design specification document. Status surveys of existing IT environments can be undertaken to determine current Tier rating. Our engineer will complete a detailed survey of the IT room and its supporting system and provide a written report detailing current status and and a RAG report covering issues and recommended remedial works.

  • All areas of Data centre design are covered.
  • CONSTRUCTION;- Walls, Raised floors, Ceiling, Doors.
  • POWER – Distribution, UPS, Generator.
  • AIR CONDITIONING – Cooling, Humidity control.
  • SECURITY – Access control, Intruder detection, CCTV
  • FIRE SYSTEMS – Detection, Suppression.
  • BMS REPORTING – Remote and local reporting of environmental alarms.
  • LEAK DETECTION
  • DATA CABLING – Routing, Access ducts.

Wireless LAN Surveys

By using the latest survey technology, our engineers ensure that your Wireless LAN meets the needs of your requirements and gives you the optimum coverage of wireless signal. The plans will show your LAN using the minimum amount of equipment, thus giving you the best value for money.

Installing a new wireless network

When it comes to installing a wireless network, a lot of companies will just use guess work when it comes to choosing the number and location of wireless access points they need. They then often end up with a wireless network that is either inefficient or they overestimate their needs and waste money on unnecessary access points.

We can remove this guess work and save time and money by conducting a wireless (RF) survey of your premises and plan the optimum network for your needs. We use the latest wireless network planning software and wireless access points (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n) to produce a simple to understand report that shows the best locations to install your access points, the signal strength and bandwidth obtained.

Our UK based engineers are highly skilled with both Ekahau Site Survey and AirMagnet software to give highly detailed reports.

Surveys can be undertaken on almost all premises including offices, schools, hospitals, shops, warehouses and even building sites.

WiFi Hotspots

An ideal way for sports clubs, cafes and customer orientated services with common areas to give their customers easy access to the internet to improve their visit.
