Basilisk sponsor UK Aikido team
Added 16th Sep 2009
It's been a busy year for Basilisk Data. The North Derbyshire based IT networking and project management company have had a website re-launch with new logo and re-branding, and now they are pleased to announce that they are the sole sponsors of the Great Britain and British University Shodokan Aikido UK teams who are off to Kyoto, Japan for the World Championships at the end of September.
Five out of the twenty strong squad are studying at Sheffield Hallam University, so the company is supporting locally based athletes to compete at an elite, international level. They sponsored the team 4 years ago when the British University team were medal winners, and Basilisk are very pleased to renew the sponsorship for 2009.
In 1994 the company was founded by Pat Mackenney, a data communications engineer. Over the last 15 years, the company has grown, and in March 2008 Pat's son in law, Craig Salt, took over the day to day running of the business. The company specialise in communications room design and build, networking, and project and programme management. They have worked for high street banks and major utility suppliers as well as smaller businesses and private households.
